Draft for the test version. To be reviewed before DegreeOS charges money. Last updated: 20 October 2026.
Who runs this
DegreeOS Tutor is a test version run by Jakie. It is only open to students on the test list.
What we store
- Your login: you sign in with Google, so we receive your Google account's email address, name and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
- Your subjects and their names.
- The text of the course files you upload, page by page, so the tutor can teach from them and cite the page. The files themselves stay on your device and are not uploaded.
- Your assignments' questions as the tutor read them, and the hints, feedback and solutions you asked for.
- Usage counts (how many hints and checks you used each day), to apply the daily limits.
- Feedback you send us.
Photos of your working are sent to the tutor to be checked and are not stored. Only the tutor's feedback is saved.
Where it is stored
Your account and data are stored with Supabase, in their Frankfurt (EU) data centre. The website and the tutor server run on Cloudflare. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Who can see it
- Only you can see your subjects, files, assignments and hints. Other students cannot, even with a link.
- The person running DegreeOS can technically access the database. They will only do so to fix a problem you report or if required by law.
- When you ask for a hint, a check or a solution, the question, matching pages of your course files and any photos you add are sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to produce the answer. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models by default.
Your choices
- Delete any file, assignment or subject at any time.
- Delete my account (Settings) removes your login and everything stored for you, immediately.
- Questions or requests: message Jakie, the person who invited you to the test.
Course materials
Only upload materials you are allowed to use for your own study. Your files are private to you and are never shared with other students.
The tutor can make mistakes. Hints and feedback are a study aid, not a grade.
